Richard Walters's The Animal

These days working with his band LYR (the other members being multi-instrumentalist Patrick Pearson and poet laureate Simon Armitage) and writing gorgeous songs for TV and film, Richard Walters started out as and remains a supreme solo artist. His debut album 'The Animal' was turning ten years old and so to mark the occasion I wrote orchestrations for the entire album for Richard to perform with string quartet. Wanting it to be a boutique and cosy event, we played to a sold-out college chapel in Oxford. It was really special and moving event for everyone.
